Brava Guitars is an instrument repair and custom shop based in the heart of the Fingerlakes region of New York State. We specialize in electric guitar and bass repairs, mods, and custom builds. We bring 20 years of experience working on a wide range of instruments both while on the road, and serving local musicians at home. We offer a wide range of services including everything from basic setups to fret dressing and refrets, wiring, full custom builds, and much more.

January Updates.
Our latest build is a classic offset body style finished in stunning Olympic White paired with a tortoise pickguard. This riff machine is loaded with a single Seymour Duncan SH-5 bridge pickup and single volume control. It boasts Hipshot locking tuners, and the rock solid tuning stability of an Evertune bridge to keep this thing in tune no matter how chaotic the show is. What's on the bench in November?
This bass came in with missing pots, a modified 6 string guitar nut and a host of other random quirks. The new owner wanted it cleaned up and properly set up for use in his home jam space. This bass got four new CTS pots, all new wiring, cavity shielding, a brand new nut, and a full set up. Visit the gallery to see more of this project.

Working on a J style bass for a customer. This one is going to be loaded with Sermour Duncan pickups and Hipshot hardware.
May Updates.
Our latest build is a T style guitar with a Hipshot Parsons / Green B Bender system, a Hipshot bridge and Hipshot locking tuners. It's loaded with a pair of Fender pickups and this one is off to chicken pick it's way into the sunset.
What's on the bench in March?
This budget conscious double neck came into the shop to seat some popped frets and get a full dressing on both necks. This also needed new nuts and the customer chose to upgrade all the hardware and guts. This guitar was completely stripped and has all new everything.
